Teri’s Place Teri’s Place first opened in Grand Falls-Windsor on June 1, 2006. It was located on 20 Lincoln Road. It relocated to its present location in Hotel Robin Hood in early 2007. The manager is Teri Boterman and her husband, Angus, is the chef who prepares the delicious food they serve. Their menu has a wide variety of foods such as salads, pastas, chicken, fish, steaks, burgers and a whole lot more. Teri’s Place specializes in English-style fish and chips. They even have a special for kids. I think that is awesome. They serve something for everyone. After school one day four of my classmates and I visited Teri’s Place with our teacher and Denika Lewis’s mom. We carried our Flat Pen Pals from Tany’s Dell School in Harlow, England with us. Teri gave us a great tour. We got to see inside the kitchen. We saw the stove, dishwasher and where the food is prepared for the customers to eat. It was amazing. The chef was busy preparing for supper when we were there. There is a piano in the restaurant and some of my friends got to play it. Ms. Warr took lots of pictures. Teri’s Place has a special room called the Castle Tower. It is where you can enjoy a special meal in privacy for special occasions such as birthdays and anniversaries. The staff at Teri’s Place are very friendly and are always happy to serve you. Teri showed us a picture of the legendary character, Robin Hood. That’s who the hotel gets its name from. Robin Hood was a good hearted outlaw who lived in England’s Sherwood Forest and robbed from the rich and gave the money to the poor. He was the leader of a band known as the Merry Men. Friar Tuck and the oversized Little John were members of his band. Maid Marian was the love of his life and his enemy was the evil Sheriff of Nottingham. My flat pen pal, Flat Amy Gair, knew all about Robin Hood because she’s from England, too. We all got our picture taken by the special tree from Sherwood Forest. During our tour at Teri’s Place, Teri served us a pop to drink and gave my friends and me a gift certificate for a kid’s meal to be used on our next visit. That was very nice of her. Teri’s Place is my very favourite place to eat with my family and friends. Why not give it a try. You’ll love it!
